Product description
New Holland Brewery & Artisan Spirits is a Michigan-based company that has been operating since 1996, initially as a micro-brewery, and since 2005 as a distillery.
In 2011, it installed an additional 3,000-liter still, which increased its potential tenfold. The idea of bourbon finished in beer barrels is quite original, although we are increasingly seeing craft beers aged in bourbon barrels. The first editions of Beer Barrel Bourbon were based on bourbon from MGP Indiana, now it is a whiskey distilled in-house. According to the producer, the bourbon is distilled from a mash of 70% corn, 25% barley and 5% rye, and after maturation in fresh, charred barrels, it is finished for 3 months in Dragon's Milk beer barrels.
