Mortlach 15-year-old Distillery Labels Gordon & MacPhail / 46% / 0.7l

Product description
Mortlach, the first of Dufftown’s seven distilleries, is named after an ancient settlement that was absorbed into the expanding town in the early 19th century.
Until 2014, the distillery did not offer official single malt editions, apart from the “semi-official” ones included in the Flora & Fauna and Rare Malts series (Mortlach was a serious candidate for the legendary Classic Malts series, but UD opted for Cragganmore). The “publishing license” is held by Gordon & MacPhail, which has included Mortlach in its Distillery Labels series (whiskies in this series have individual labels). The Mortlach 15 years old presented here is a whisky matured in first-fill and refill sherry casks (with a predominance of the latter) and bottled in autumn 2020 (the alcohol content was then increased from 43 to 46% abv).
