Product description
The Trois Rivieres estate in Martinique once belonged to the Sun King's minister of finance, Louis XIV.
Today it includes, among other things, a large sugar cane plantation and a rum factory. In accordance with the Martinique tradition, rum agricole is produced here, a spirit distilled from fresh sugar cane juice. It is produced in a rectifying column and, in most cases, matured in carefully selected oak barrels, primarily American bourbon barrels.
Trois Rivieres Double Wood is a two-stage rum that spends the first 7 months in large American oak vats with a capacity of 40,000 liters. For the next 9 months of maturation, the rum is transferred to 200-liter French oak barrels that previously held whisky.
