Product description
Rum has been closely linked to shipping and maritime traditions for centuries. It was regularly issued to crews of ships and naval vessels since the 15th century.
The British Navy assumed that rum had to be of such strength that gunpowder would not lose its properties even if accidentally flooded with the transported drink. As ships called at different ports in the Caribbean and at each of them they took on rum to replenish their supplies, the transported barrels were a mixture of different rums from different countries.
Gunroom Navy Rum is a spirit blended from rums from Jamaica, Barbados, Guyana and Trinidad.
