Product description
Ruediger whiskey is produced in Styria, Austria by the Gölles family.
Its name is a nod to Rüdiger von Hohenberg, who built defensive walls in the 12th century to protect the inhabitants of today's Riegersburg. The Gölles family has been producing whiskey since 2003 using a range of grains - corn, rye, wheat, spelt, millet and buckwheat and a dozen or so types of barrels for maturation. The Ruediger whiskey formula contains around 60% corn, 20% rye, and the remaining 20% barley, spelt and wheat. The distillates are aged in American oak barrels (first and refill), French oak barriques and butt and hogshead sherry barrels.
