Elephant Orange & Cocoa Gin / 40%/ 0.5l
- Elephant Gin, launched 2013, is made in Germany and inspired by African wildlife.
Product description
Gin Elephant, a German spirit of African origin, debuted in 2013.
Its creators, Robin Gerlach, Tessa Wienker and Henry Palmer, decided to create a drink based on local botanicals while travelling around South Africa, the profit from the sale of which will be donated to the protection of endangered species of animals of the Black Continent. In fact, 15% of the profit from the brand's sales goes to the Big Life Foundation and Space for Elephants. Elephant Gin is distilled in Wittenberg using 14 botanicals, including several African ones, never before used in gin formulas. Devil's claw, African wormwood, wild daga and carbolistny gin come from South Africa, baobab from Malawi, ginger from China, cinnamon bark from Indonesia, allspice from Mexico, mountain pine from Austria, black elder from Poland and Ukraine, orange peel from Spain, apples from Germany, lavender and juniper from several European countries. In spring 2021, the company introduced the unique Ornage & Cocoa Gin. Its base is Elephant London Dry Gin, and the formula is enriched with organic Spanish oranges and roasted cocoa beans. The necks of the bottles are wrapped with a beaded necklace made by women from the Kenyan Masai tribe.
"Elephant Orange Cocoa Gin, a citrusy version of this spirit, surprises with complex notes of sweet oranges and lightly roasted cocoa beans. The orange zesty combined with the citrus sweetness and chocolate notes of cocoa beans guarantee an unforgettable taste experience."
