Product description
The roots of Langatun Distillery date back to 1857, when Jakob Baumberger returned from his hometown in Munich with a master brewer's diploma.
He soon bought a brewery in the village of Langenthat (originally called Langatun) in the canton of Bern and began producing beer and, to a lesser extent, distilling. Almost 150 years later, in 2007, Hans Baumberger III, also a brewer, created the single malt Langatun. Old Deer is a classic Langatun whisky, distilled from unpeated malted barley using yeast suitable for British stout production and aged in sherry and Chardonnay casks. The Cask Proof edition presented here (59.7% abv) was released in 2019.
