Product description
The Château du Breuil estate, built in the 15th century, is located on the Pays d'Auge plain, famous for its wintry climate.
The climate favors the growth of apples with an exceptional richness of flavor. The first records of alcohol production on the property date back to the 16th century. When Philippe Bizouard purchased the property in 1954, he decided to modernize the production. The time from receiving apple juice to the beginning of its fermentation, according to the manufacturer, is crucial for the production of the highest quality Calvados. To obtain a liter of alcohol, the producer uses about 25 kilograms of apples. The production potential is estimated at 400,000 liters per year. This edition was composed of carefully selected apples. It was distilled twice and matured in French oak casks for 20 years. The casks for this edition are hand selected with particular care by the cellar master.
