Burmester Vintage Porto 2017
Wine made from the Tinta Roriz, Tourica Franca and Touriga Nacional varieties. All come from vines older than 25 years, from the Quinta do Arnozelo vineyard. They are hand-picked, then vinified and macerated in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. It is bottled 2 to 3 years after harvest. On the nose it is rich and harmonious, full of aromas of red fruits, blackcurrants and a bit of blackberries, with menthol accents. On the palate it is well-structured, but elegant and delicate, perfectly combining the flavors of ripe fruit with the right acidity. The finish is long, light, with a refreshing note of mint appearing.
It tastes best served at a temperature of 16-18 degrees. In culinary combinations, it will work well with chocolate-based desserts, preferably with the addition of red and dark fruits. It will also be suitable for good quality cheeses, hard and moldy.
