The La Maison du Rhum brand was created in 2017 by the French distributor of alcohols, mainly wines, Dugas.
Thanks to its experience in the spirits trade and contacts with leading producers, La Maison du Rhum is a line of excellent rums, coming from the best distilleries, aged in oak barrels at the place of production. The line includes vintage whiskies, blended, aged in special barrels or distilled in traditional stills. They are often bottled at an alcohol content significantly higher than the traditional 40%, which allows for the preservation of a more intense aroma and taste of the drink.
La Maison du Rhum Paraguay comes from the Castilla distillery in Paraguay, founded in 1993, the source of the Fortin rums. It is a honey rum distilled in column stills. This rum has been matured for 13 years in Fino sherry casks, one of the driest types of sherry.
Nose: Vanilla, sweet spices, fresh wood, licorice, molasses, honey.
Taste : Tropical fruits, cinnamon, cane sugar, tobacco.
Finish: Long, notes of fruit and spice.
