The Trois Rivieres estate in Martinique once belonged to the Sun King's minister of finance, Louis XIV.
Today it includes, among other things, a large sugar cane plantation and a rum factory. In accordance with the Martinique tradition, rum agricole is produced here, a spirit distilled from fresh sugar cane juice. It is produced in a rectifying column and, in most cases, matured in carefully selected oak barrels, primarily American bourbon barrels.
Rum Trois Rivieres 1997 is a spirit distilled in 1997. It spent 11 years maturing in American bourbon oak barrels. The maturation took place in the tropical climate of the Caribbean.
Aroma: Intense notes of sugar cane, oak, pepper and spices.
Taste : Lively, notes of cane sugar, oak, spices and pepper.
Finish: Long, with oak and mineral notes.
