Product description
No. 3 London Dry Gin debuted in 2010 in the Berry Bros. & Rudd range. This London trading company was founded in 1690 and initially operated in the wine and food markets.
Since the time of George III, it has been a supplier to the royal court, currently employing eight Masters of Wine and stocking over 4,000 wines and spirits. The name of the gin refers both to the company's London store address (3 St James' Street) and to its formula, which contains three fruit botanicals (juniper berries, grapefruit and sweet orange peel) and three spices (coriander, cardamom and angelica root). Before distillation, they are subjected to a 24-hour maceration, and the distillation itself takes place in one of the oldest Dutch distilleries under the supervision of the creator of the formula, Dr David Clutton. The presentation of the gin is undoubtedly impressive, a stately green bottle with a replica of the key to one of the oldest rooms at Berry Bros. & Rudd attached to it.
No. 3 is a classic London Dry Gin, mild despite its high alcohol content and perfectly balanced, with all six components of the recipe leaving their mark on the aromatic and flavor palette of the drink. It tastes great in a classic Martini and with tonic and a slice of lime.
