Product description
Lemorton is located in Mantilly, in the Domfrontais region of Calvados. The climate and the substrate are extremely convenient for the growth of pears. Calvados from Domfrontais must contain at least 30% pears.
Calvados, produced by the Lemorton family for five generations, owes its uniqueness to the composition, where for every 3 apples there are as many as 7 pears! Pears are harvested from ripe and soaring pears, such fruit is sweeter. The unique proportions of Calvados Domfrontais from the Lemorton family give it a brighter color, and an exceptionally light and accessible aromatic-flavor profile. The production is rather small in scale. The cider is distilled after less than a year, just before the next harvest. In a typical copper still, the distillate is matured in second filled casks for 6 years.
