Product description
Warner's Distillery (originally named Warner Edwards Distillery) was founded in 2012 by Tom Warner and Sion Edwards.
Its headquarters is the Falls Farm in Northamptonshire, where the owners grow the botanicals used in the gin formula, keep bees, and there is a spring from which the water for production comes. In 2016, the partners parted ways and after a few years the company changed its name to Warner's Distillery. The "Honey" Gin debuted in 2017 (still under the Warner Edwards brand) in cooperation with the Royal Horticultural Society. Its formula lists a remarkable 28 botanical ingredients, including: honey from its own apiary, juniper berries, coriander, cardamom, elderberry, nutmeg, cinnamon, angelica root, orange and lemon peel, hibiscus and chamomile flowers, rosemary, sage leaves, ginger root, anise, sunflower petals, quince, lavender, fresh lime peel, dried grapefruit peel, and a few others that the creators do not reveal. In 2018, Warner's Honeybee Gin won a silver medal at the International Wine & Spirits Competition.
"In the aromatic bouquet, the sweetness of honey plays with the subtle piquancy of spices. In the flavor palette, a fruity and floral review, grapefruit and lemon zest intertwined with notes of lavender and rose; honey returns in a gentle finish enriched with notes of juniper and elderberry." Warner's Honeybee Gin is best served with Fever Tree Mediterranean tonic and a slice of fresh lemon or a sage leaf.
