Product description
P&H Egan Ltd. was founded in Tullamore in 1852 by Patrick and Henry Egan.
The company grew quickly and by the end of the century it was one of the most dynamically operating in the food, alcohol and hotel markets. It had its own malt houses and bottling plants, and before World War II it bottled Jameson and Paddy whiskeys, among others. In the 1960s, however, it was unable to compete with global corporations and was dissolved in 1968. After 45 years of hibernation, the company was reactivated by Jonathan and Maurice Egan and John Ralph. Egan's Vintage Single Grain Whiskey debuted in 2017. The 2009 Vintage, 2019 edition presented here, is a whiskey aged in bourbon barrels and bottled at 46% alcohol and without chill filtration.
