Product description
In 1885, a pharmacist and owner of a pharmacy in Angers, Émile Giffard, developed the formula for the Menthe-Pastille liqueur, which quickly conquered Europe.
The company he founded remains in the hands of the family to this day, managed by his great-great-grandchildren, siblings Bruno and Edith Giffard, and its commercial offer of liqueurs and bartender syrups lists over a hundred items. The company's flagship product remains Menthe-Pastille, the rest are grouped into three categories: Premium, Specialty and syrups. In the Specialty category we find fruit creams and classic liqueurs. The company is in constant contact with the most creative bartenders in search of new flavor variants. Giffard's products are now available in over 60 countries.
Giffard Guignolet d'Angers, a classic French aperitif, is created by slow maceration of Montmorency cherries with a small addition of sweet cherries (dark in color). The taste is an excellent balance of cherry sweetness and delicate tartness, and a subtle hint of raspberry. Served naturally or with ice. Recently, Giffard has increased the alcohol content in Guignolet d'Angers to 16%.
