Product description
The winery was founded in 1896 by Don José Ruiz-Berdejo. The beginnings were modest, Don José, being a civil servant, cultivated his vines on his Nuestra Señora de la Esperanza farm, where he also made his wines, which he later sold to large exporters. In 1931, after his daughters bought another vineyard, he moved the wines intended for aging to Jerez. In 1945, the first wines signed with brands created by Emilio Lustau appeared, with them direct export outside the country began. The company continued to develop, passing into the hands of the famous Luis Caballero company in 1990, which allowed for its faster development.
Today, Bodegas Lustau is considered a benchmark for top-quality wines. Over the years, Lustau has received numerous international awards, including being the first winery in the world to be awarded the prestigious Len Evans Award for Quality and Consistency twice at the International Wine Challenge. Apart from quality, the company's philosophy has not changed - since its inception, it has wanted to offer customers the widest and most carefully selected range of sherries.
