Product description
Templeton Rye whiskey debuted in 2006 advertised as a “Made in Iowa” spirit with roots dating back to the inglorious Prohibition era.
Meanwhile, the whiskey came from the MGP distillery in Indiana, and was only processed and bottled in Iowa. The case ended in a settlement in court and a commitment to compensate consumers for the purchased Templeton whiskey. Subsequent editions already contained the statement on the counter-label "Distilled in Indiana". The Signature Reserve presented here is a 4-year-old straight rye whiskey distilled at MGP from a mash consisting of 95% rye and 5% malted barley and bottled without added coloring and flavoring substances (these were contained in the Templeton Rye The Good Stuff version).
