Product description
The Skin Gin formula was developed in 2014 by Martin Brik Jensen, and the first batch flowed from the still in March 2015.
Jensen's mission was to produce a gin with a profile completely different from the established standards and after months of testing at the Nordik Edelbrennerei distillery, his choice was limited to seven components. To a large extent, eliminating herbal notes, Jensen focused on four citrus fruits, lemons, limes, oranges and grapefruits, as well as juniper, coriander and mint. Mint comes from Morocco and coriander from Vietnam and is characterized by great aromatic and flavor intensity. The botanicals are distilled separately, which slows down the process but ensures maximum extraction of aromas and flavors, and then blended to create a "skin gin". The presentation in three basic variants seems equally unique - Brown Reptile, Grey Anthracite and White - however, adding the texture of imitation leather and its shades, we reach about 500 variants.
Skin Gin bursts with mint and pink grapefruit, while juniper and coriander fade into the background, with fresh citrus notes running through the whole thing. Jensen recommends serving his gin and tonic with a sprig of fresh rosemary or a basil leaf and a dash of orange zesty.
