Product description
Martell Blue Swift debuted in 2016 and is the first VSOP cognac to be finished in bourbon barrels.
It is the creation of Martell's cellar master, Christophe Valtaud, in response to suggestions from American importers. The master does not reveal the details of which Kentucky distillery the barrels come from, their degree of roasting or how long the final maturation lasted (he only admitted that it was less than six months). The name of the drink refers to the swift, a bird that can fly continuously for several days, crossing the Atlantic. Coincidentally, Martell was the first cognac to reach the States (1783). Martell Blue Swift is irrefutable proof of the harmonious coexistence of cognacs and bourbons.
