Product description
According to the producer, Malfy is a nod to the pioneers of gin, Italian monks who attempted distillation using juniper berries in their monasteries along the Amalfi Coast as early as 1050.
Malfy is distilled at Torino Distillati, located at the foot of the highest peak in Piedmont, Monte Viso. The distillery has been in operation since 1906 and is currently owned by the Vergnano family. Malfy Con Arancia debuted in 2018) with the Gin Rosa version. The main ingredient in its formula is Sicilian blood oranges, which recently obtained protected geographical status. Together with juniper berries, they are subjected to a 36-hour maceration, then after adding lemon and orange peel, coriander and angelica and orris roots, they are distilled using the vacuum distillation technique.
Malfy Con Arancia explodes in the mouth with a load of citrus, bitter-sweet blood oranges, grapefruits and clementines, and in the background traditional notes of juniper and a touch of fresh herbs. We recommend serving it with tonic or Sicilian Lemonade.
