Product description
According to the producer, Malfy is a nod to the pioneers of gin, Italian monks who attempted distillation using juniper berries in their monasteries along the Amalfi Coast as early as 1050.
Malfy is distilled in Torino Distillati, located at the foot of the highest peak in Piedmont, Monte Viso. The distillery has been operating since 1906 and is currently owned by the Vergnano family. Malfy Gin Rosa is one of the latest versions of this brand (2018), in the formula of which the first fiddle is played by the skin of pink grapefruits ripening in the Mediterranean sun, from the citrus groves of Sicily. Together with other botanical ingredients - juniper berries, lemon and orange peel, coriander and angelica and orris roots, they are subjected to a 36-hour maceration and distilled using the vacuum distillation technique. The formula is complemented by a small amount of rhubarb distillate.
Malfy Gin Rosa caresses the nostrils with a strong scent of grapefruit with a subtle hint of rhubarb, while in taste the light citrus sweetness is balanced by juniper, coriander and bitterness of angelica. We recommend serving it with tonic with the addition of lime or rosemary and in Collins and Fizz cocktails.
