An extraordinary rum, positioned in the super premium category, created to commemorate over 80 years of tradition of rum production on the small island of Sail Lucia in the Lesser Antilles in the Caribbean Sea.
It is made in a small rum distillery, St. Lucia Distillers, located in the beautiful and fertile Roseau Valley in Saint Lucia. It is a blend of distillates from a column still and three copper pot stills. It is made from 90 percent molasses, while the remaining 10 percent is a product of fresh sugar cane. The fresh cane juice was fermented with natural yeast and distilled in the distillery's John Dore Pot Still. This rum matured mainly in American oak barrels, with some in port barrels. The time it spends in the barrels is from seven to twelve years.
