Product description
Zenato Azienda Vitivinicola is based in the district of Lugana, part of the Veneto region. This district stretches around the southern shores of Lake Garda, where the soil is composed of chalk, marl and clay. The Zenato family initially focused on cultivating the vines, experimenting with different vines, paying less attention to winemaking. Valerio Zenato, who took over the family business in 1981, focused more on the production process and soon the family wines began to attract the attention of both consumers and critics, resulting in numerous awards at both local and international level. In October 2013, the family celebrated the opening of a new winery.
Serai Rosso is the result of vinification of grapes with different harvest dates – early Merlot and later Cabernet Sauvignon and Corvina. Their fermentation takes place separately, after which they are blended and clarified in oak barrels.
Le Morette Serai Rosso is a wine with a pleasantly balanced palette, with notes of fresh cherries, plums and red currants interwoven with delicate tannins and a herbal aftertaste.
It goes great with risotto, meat spaghetti, lamb and slightly aged cheeses. Serve at 16-18ºC, necessarily in large glasses.
