Product description
Zafra Rum is produced in Panama, at the Las Cabras Distillery. The plant was founded in 1919 as a cane sugar factory.
The forgotten and overgrown plant was discovered in the 1990s by Francisco Jose Fernandez Perez and Carlos Esquivel. In an abandoned warehouse, they found a copper still with the inscription "Cincinnati 1922". This discovery was the beginning of a completely new distillery. Currently, five stills are operating in Las Cabras, and rum is made here from molasses. The main brand of rum produced in Las Cabras is Grander.
Zafra Master Reserve 21 Anos is a blend of distillates that have matured in American bourbon oak barrels for 21 years. These barrels are carefully selected and their contents must be of exceptional quality to be blended into the Master Reserve 21 Anos. The entire process is overseen by the former Maestro Ronero of Havana Club.
