Product description
Zenato Azienda Vitivinicola is based in the district of Lugana, part of the Veneto region. This district stretches around the southern shores of Lake Garda, where the soil is composed of chalk, marl and clay. Initially, the Zenato family focused on cultivating the vine, experimenting with different varieties, paying less attention to winemaking. Valerio Zenato, who took over the family business in 1981, focused more on the production process itself and soon the family wines began to attract the attention of both consumers and critics, earning them numerous awards both locally and internationally.
Le Morette Perseo is the result of many years of experimenting to create a wine that combines rich structure and elegant aromatic bouquet. It is produced from Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, which after harvest spend 4 weeks in a drying room. The wine is aged for 18 months in oak barrels and clarified for another 6 months in bottles. It has a dark ruby color and a rich palette, in which we find cherries, blackberries, raspberries and herbal, tobacco and oak notes.
Perseo is a great accompaniment to beef, lamb and game, and should be served at a temperature of 16-18ºC after decanting. Morette, on the other hand, is a variety of wild duck that lives in Lake Farassino.
