Product description
Crudo Catarratto Zibibbo is an organic wine from the portfolio of Mare Magnum, an international corporation producing wide range of “best value” wines in eight countries and appellations under vertical integrated production (own grapes, own production, own bottling). The wine is a blend of Catarratto and Zibibbo grapes fermented together in stainless steel tanks. Catarratto is the most widely planted grape in Sicily and shows a close genetic relationship with Garganega, which parents have not been identified. Zibibbo is the local name of Muscat of Alexandria, one of the oldest genetically unmodified vines still in existence, which originated in Egypt and is widely planted in Sicily. The word ‘zibibbo’ is derived from the Arabic ‘zabib’ that means ‘raisins’.
Crudo Catarratto Zibibbo Organic is very aromatic wine, with notes of oranges, pineapples, mango, candied lemon peel, quince jelly and just a pinch of salt.
It makes good pairing with moderately spicy Asian dishes, seafood, light appetizers and salads when chilled to 10-12ºC.
