Product description
Westland Distillery, based in Seattle, Washington, began producing whiskey in 2011. It was a small distillery with a production capacity of 60,000 liters per year.
In the summer of 2013, the plant moved to a new location and its capacity increased to 260,000 liters of distillate per year. Westland soon caught the attention of the French company Rèmy Cointreau, which became its owner at the end of 2016. Westland Peated Malt debuted in 2014 and was immediately included in the basic offer. It is a blend of two distillates, the first using peated malted barley, while the second was distilled from 100% local pale malt. The whiskey is aged mainly in bourbon barrels with a small addition of sherry barrels.
