Product description
In 1885, a pharmacist and owner of a pharmacy in Angers, Émile Giffard, developed the formula for the Menthe-Pastille liqueur, which within a few years would conquer Europe.
The company he founded remains in the family hands to this day and is managed by his great-great-grandchildren, siblings Bruno and Edith Giffard, and its commercial offer of liqueurs and bartender syrups includes over a hundred items. The gem among Giffard's products is the Premium Liqueurs series, consisting of only 9 items, produced with the use of ingredients of unique origin and specific varieties of fruit with very intense aromas and flavors characteristic of a given species. The company remains in close contact with the most creative bartenders and is constantly working on expanding the offer with new flavors.
The Giffard Caribbean Pineapple Premium Liquor presented here is, to quote Edith Giffard, “a liqueur produced by macerating ripe Caribbean pineapples, candied pineapples with the addition of 7-year-old rum and a few spices.” Its palette explodes with pineapple, but after a while it reveals clear notes of vanilla, cinnamon, butter cookies and a pinch of white pepper. Giffard recommends it as an ingredient in a pineapple Daïquiri (40ml white rum, 30ml Caribbean Pineapple, 20ml lime juice and 10ml orgeat syrup).
