Product description
Tequila Espolon is a product of the San Nicolas distillery, located in San Ignacio Cerro Gordo in the Mexican state of Jalisco.
The local master distiller, Cirilo Oropeza, says that playing rock music while fermenting roasted agave helps “inspire” the yeast to work better. Distillation takes place in a rectifying column and stainless steel stills with copper coils. The Reposado edition is aged in new American oak barrels for three to five months. The bottle and label design, which were revamped a few years ago, feature scenes from Day of the Dead iconography.
