Product description
The owners of Arran Distillery love experimenting with both the malts and the types of casks in which they age their whisky.
Machrie Moor is their “peated” offering, introduced in 2010. The whisky is distilled from malt with a phenol concentration of 20 parts per million. Its name refers to the legend of Fingal, a giant warrior who chained his favourite dog to a stone to guard the entrance to the unexplored peat bog of Machrie Moor on the west coast of the Isle of Arran. The seventh edition of this whisky presented here was launched in September 2016.
