Product description
Bladnoch is the most southerly distillery in Scotland.
It has been in operation since 1817 and has welcomed several owners in its nearly 200-year history. The last change came in 2015, when Australian businessman David Prior bought the plant from the Armstrong brothers. A year earlier, the dispute between the brothers ended in court, and the court, seeing no possibility of reaching a consensus, ordered the liquidation of the company. The Bladnoch 8 years old presented here is a whisky from the 1980s bottled for the Italian market by P. Mackenzie & Co. Distillers Ltd. The whisky bears the same label as the editions of Arthur Bell & Sons, who bought Bladnoch in 1983, and two years later were taken over by Guinness.
