Product description
Craigellachie Distillery is located in the heart of Speyside, on a hilltop overlooking the confluence of the Fiddich and Spey rivers. John Dewar & Sons, which owns the distillery, has been part of the Bacardi Martini group since 1998.
Craigellachie single malt was not the easiest whisky to locate, it was not until 2014 that the owners decided to launch a broad marketing campaign under the name Last Great Malts of Scotland. Craigellachie 17 years old is an interesting whisky, sweet, yet spicy, with a large citrus load and a delicate smoky note.
Aroma : floral-fruity, pears, grapes, gooseberries, vanilla, cinnamon, wax, a hint of smoke and a barely perceptible trace of sulfur.
Taste: citrus, pineapples, bananas, mango, but also spicy-spicy, pepper, cinnamon, ginger, almond and oak notes.
Finish: medium long, citrusy and spicy with a distant hint of smoke.
