Silver Seal, an Italian company operating since 2000, is considered the successor to the legendary Sestante, founded in 1979.
Massimo Righi acquired the rights to both brands in 2010, after, he says, a two-year stockpile of whiskies. The Longmorn edition on display here is part of a new series called the Wildlife Collection , whose colorful labels depict endangered wildlife and birds. A portion of the proceeds from its sale will go to fund the Rock No War and Zimbabwe Project . The whisky, distilled in 1984, spent 30 years in a 3212 sherry cask. Its contents, bottled at cask strength (56.3% abv), amounted to 420 bottles of whisky.
