The distillery is today owned by the Rémy Cointreau concern, and since 2015 the duties of Bruichladdich's master distiller are now held by Adam Hannett, who is masterfully continuing the work of his mentor and also predecessor Jim McEwan. The whisky presented here has a special meaning for us, it is our first cask of Bruichladdich and at the same time the first cask from this distillery that came to Poland! Distilled in December 2009, still during Jim McEwan's tenure, it spent more than a decade in a French Merlot barrel. In July 2020, its contents were sealed in a limited quantity of 282 bottles, with a cask strength of. We were helped in the selection of the barrel by Adam Hannett, whom we thank here.
