A 15-year-old whisky that owes its distinctive character to a selective maturation process, during which part of the alcohol is aged in French oak barrels. Pedunculate oak is felled in the Dordogne region of France, where it is sometimes used to age cognacs. Its low density allows the whisky to penetrate deep into the wood, resulting in a unique and palate-pleasing clarity of flavor. The process, increases the intensity of the whisky's aroma, allowing for a rich, creamy finish.
