Glenlivet 12 years old is not only one of the most popular single malts in the world, but also one of the longest-produced, its release taking place in 1933, just after the repeal of Prohibition in the United States.
The Double Oak presented here is the latest incarnation of Glenlivet 12 years old (2019), a whisky compiled from distillates aged in bourbon and sherry casks.
Aroma
mild, floral and fruity, blooming summer meadow, apples, peaches, red berries, vanilla and oak.
TASTE
pleasantly balanced, fruity, apples, pineapples, gooseberries, vanilla cream, traces of cinnamon and walnuts and delicate oak tones.
FINISH
quite long, warming, fruits from grandma's orchard, almonds and some oak.
