Since 1888. the art of METAXY manufacturing is the responsibility of individuals with unique talents - METAXY Masters, guarding the legacy of the founder, Spyros Metaxa. Constantinos Raptis is the fifth METAXY Master since the House was founded. After years of training in the art of making Metaxa and learning the secrets of the House, Constantinos Raptis was given carte blanche to create his first creation in 1992. Appreciating the opportunity, he composed a unique and exceptionally expressive blend, which is a delicate combination of muscat wines from the island of Samos and precious long-aged distillates, some of which come from the first distillery in Piraeus. No one else knows the secrets of this blend as well as Constantinos Raptis. Meticulously composed and cared for by him, it was named Private Reserve from the House of METAXY.
Aroma
Dried flowers with notes of oak. Notes of old honey, bitter citrus zest, chocolate and coffee, sweet spice blend, pear compote
TASTE
Complex, warm and rich. Delicate oak, dried figs, raisins, tobacco, orange peel.
FINISH
Long-lasting aftertaste of dried fruits (figs, prunes). Smoky, with a long, aromatic finish.

Metaxa 12 Stars was created by Metaxa Master Constantinos Raptis and is the result of a unique combination of wine distillates aged in Limousin oak barrels for up to a dozen years with selected Muscat wines sourced exclusively from the island of Samos. The distinctiveness and exceptionally balanced taste of Metaxa 12 Stars is highlighted by a secret composition of May rose petals and Mediterranean herbs. This unique beverage reveals its complex character and captivates with subtle aromatic notes of burnt oak, orange peel and toffee.
