Glenfiddich Experimental Series, IPA Experiment /43%

Glenfiddich is the best-selling single malt of all time, with a current total of more than 14 million bottles a year.

Demand for whisky continues to grow and the owners have decided to build a new distillery. It is scheduled to begin production in spring 2019, and the combined capacity of the two facilities will reach 20 million liters of distillate per year. The Glenfiddich IPA Experiment presented here is a 2016 offering. The whisky has no age determination, while it was finished for 12 weeks in IPA (Indian Pale Ale) beer casks brewed at Speyside Craft Brewery next door. The beer, in turn, was aged for four weeks in Glenfiddich casks. Glenfiddich IPA Experiment won a silver medal at the 2017 International Wine & Spirits Competition.
