Chivas Regal Extra 13 Year Old American Rye Cask / 40%

In the spring of 2020, the company Chivas Bros. announced the release of the Chivas Extra 13 Collection series. It is to consist of four 13-year-old blends, in the creation of which Sandy Hyslop, Chivas' master blender, used four unique types of barrels: Oloroso sherry, American rye whiskey, rum and tequila. The series is inspired by brothers James and John Chivas, importers of rums, oriental spices and foodstuffs, and producers of blended whiskies. The company was based in Aberdeen, at 13 King Street. The whisky presented here was "selectively finished in American rye casks," meaning that part of the finished blend spent the final maturation period in American rye whisky casks. The graphic design of the edition uses the work of Greg Gossel, an American pop-culture artist.
