Caperdonich 25 Year Old Peated Batch / 45.5%
Glen Grant Nº 2 Distillery began work in 1897 and finished after just five years.
In 1965, after a comprehensive modernization, it resumed distilling as Caperdonich (Gaelic for "Secret Well"), and 10 years later was taken over by Seagram's. Almost all of the production went into blends, mainly Chivas Regal, Queen Anne, 100 Pipers and Something Special. Pernod Ricard acquired Seagram's Scottish assets in 2001 and soon decided to close the distillery. The Caperdonich 25 years old presented here is a limited edition of 2019 marked as Batch CP/001 (behind the abbreviation CP is Caperdonich Peated). The whisky comes from hogshead casks and was bottled at cask strength (45.5% abv) and without cold filtration.
