Caperdonich 18 year old / 48% /

Glen Grant Nº 2 Distillery began distilling in 1897 and finished after only five years.

In 1965, after a comprehensive modernization, it resumed work as Caperdonich (Gaelic for "Secret Well"), and 10 years later was taken over by Seagram's. Almost all of the production went into blends, mainly Chivas Regal, Queen Anne, 100 Pipers and Something Special. Pernod Ricard took over the plant in 2001 and almost immediately stopped distilling the. However, when it seemed that Caperdonich single malt was fading into oblivion Pernod included it in the prestigious "Secret Speyside Collection". Here we present an unusual offering from this distillery, a whisky with a smoky and peaty profile. Caperdonich Peated 18 years old was aged in American oak barrels and went to market as Batch CP/004.
