Auchentoshan 18 Year Old / 43% /
'Auchentoshan' translates from Gaelic to 'corner of the field' and this corner has been getting increasingly popular among whisky lovers in recent years. Annually, approx. 1.7 million liters of distillate, at the same time more than one million bottles of local whisky are being purchased.
The 18-year-old version presented here was released in 2008 (the same year that the company changed the labels and bottle shape) and is still in the basic range. The whisky was aged in bourbon barrels and offers a much richer palette than its 12-year-old sister.
