Alba refers to Quercus Alba, a variety of American white oak that is used for aging single malt whisky ,A'Bunadh Alba. At the same time, Alba is also the Gaelic name for Scotland. Edition matured in first-fill bourbon barrels to preserve the intensely sweet flavor notes. The whisky has not been cold-filtered to achieve a fuller flavor and characteristic slightly creamy texture and to retain all the aromatic richness, it is bottled at cask strength.
Aroma
sweet orchard fruits of fresh green apple and juicy sweet pears complemented by delicate notes of lavender honey, smooth vanilla cream and fresh lemon sorbet.
TASTE
An initial burst of citrus and tangy grapefruit transitions into a rich flavor of crisp, buttery cookies and baked apples,followed by notes of sweet sugared almonds.
FINISH
Smooth and sweet, with a hint of roasted almonds.
