Talisker Distillery is based on the Isle of Skye, the largest and most northerly of the Inner Hebrides.
This is a medium-sized distillery, equipped with five stills, which can produce about 3 million liters of distillate per year. In the last decade, sales of the local single malt have increased by several hundred percent, to exceed the threshold of 3 million bottles in 2019, thanks in part to aggressive marketing by Diageo. Talisker 30 years old debuted in 2006 and has experienced annual limited editions since then. In 2013, only 3,738 bottles of this extraordinary drink were sold.
