Bowmore 8-year-old (Dragon Tube) / 40% / 0.7l
- The young bottling of Bowmore from the early 2000s intended for the Italian market.
Product description
A young, 8-year-old Bowmore bottled at the beginning of the century on behalf of an Italian importer.
This is a collector's edition, which includes a beautiful metal tube that most likely depicts the legendary Scottish warrior Fingal and his dogs battling a fire-breathing dragon. The distillery buildings can be seen in the background. Bowmore in this age range offers stronger peat and brine notes and less citrus sweetness, but is still a good introduction to Islay single malts .
Aroma; fresh, sea breeze, peat smoke, seaweed, notes of vanilla and oak.
Taste: clear, peat, brine, lemon grass, breath of earth and a trace of citrus.
Finish: not too long, warming, a fleeting visit to the smokehouse.
