Product description
Produced since the late 19th century, it was created in 1887 in the town of Podensac in the Bordeaux region by brothers Paul and Raymond Lillet. It was initially called Kina Lillet because it contained quinine, which gave it a characteristic bitterness.
In the 1980s, the Lillet Blanc recipe was slightly modified to reduce bitterness and make it more accessible to modern consumers. Today, Lillet is appreciated both as an aperitif and as an ingredient in cocktails, known for its delicate, refreshing flavor, with notes of citrus and honey. In the tertiary aromas, notes of tropical fruits are noticeable. History and tradition make it one of the most recognizable French aperitifs in the world.
