Product description
The Wild Geese is an Irish whiskey (single malt and blended) from the portfolio of Panama-based Avalon International Management.
Distribution rights are held by Protégé International Group, based in Cyprus. The history of Wild Geese begins in the late 17th century, as a term for the Irish forced to leave the country after the signing of the Treaty of Limerick (1691). Later, the term was also used to refer to Irish soldiers who fought in foreign troops. The Classic Blend presented here is the Wild Geese in its basic form, a blend of malt and grain whiskey from Cooley Distillery, combined with a high percentage of the latter, aged exclusively in American oak barrels. In 2021, Wild Geese Classic Blend won a gold medal at the Irish Whiskey Masters competition.
