It is one of the oldest blended whisky brands in Scotland. It has been produced since 1836 in Glasgow.
The creator of this whisky was Archibald Lauder. He based the recipe of his whisky on selected distillates from the Highlands, Speyside and Lowlands regions. The whisky matures for at least 15 years in traditional bourbon and sherry casks. The precision with which Archibald Lauder developed the recipe resulted in gold medals obtained during international competitions and exhibitions. The whisky is bottled in characteristic square bottles.
Nose: light and fresh with notes of alcohol, sweet vanilla, coconut, cereals, almonds, ripe orange, caramel and sherry
Palate: floral and malty with notes of brown sugar, vanilla, honey, caramel, fresh herbs, dried grass, citrus peel and sherry
Finish: light and sweet with a predominance of vanilla and honey.
