Product description

This informal organisation officially came into being on the first day of the first month of the year 2000 and now has over 100,000 members scattered around the world. The ‘Discussion’ edition was the brainchild of Bill Lumsden, creative director of Glenmorangie and Ardbeg whisky, whose idea was to spark a debate among the committee members on how the whisky presented here compares to other products from the distillery. The ‘discussion’ whisky was aged for eight years in sherry casks and bottled at 50.8% abv.

Color : straw

Aroma : malty and smoky, toffee, milk chocolate, honey, orange peel, sultanas, fennel, celery salt, green pepper, some herbs and a trace of lavender.

Palate : peat smoke, toffee, salt grain caramel, milk chocolate, white pepper, anise, eucalyptus drops, notes of smoked bacon and licorice.

Finish: long, with notes of peat smoke, milk fudge, honey, cloves, dried fruit and a bit of seaweed.
